ELIZABETH FRY SOCIETY

Elizabeth Fry Society runs shelters for single women and single mothers with children, pregnant women or mothers with newborns and women who are working through their addiction issues.

NEWTON ADVOCACY GROUP SOCIETY (NAGS)

Newton Advocacy Group Society provides one-to-one outreach advocacy to prevent eviction that helps clients to sustain their housing and direct assistance to individuals and families to get housed and stay housed.

  • Small gift items for Christmas dinner guests
  • Volunteering for dinner preparation and service

NIGHTSHIFT MINISTRIES

Nightshift Ministries hope to bring healing, wholeness and freedom to those caught in the addictive cycle of poverty and addictions, and to support those seeking a way to exit the streets. By offering a continuum of services, there is consistency where otherwise there would be none.

FIRST UNITED CHURCH (WHITE ROCK) EXTREME WEATHER SHELTER

First United Church has operated as the extreme weather shelter of Options/Hyland House.

OPTIONS – YOUTH SERVICES

The Supported Youth Independent Housing Program (SYIH) is a subsidized housing and support program designed for youth between the ages of 16 to 24 who do not have stabilized housing. This program teaches youth how to maintain stabilized housing while also receiving one-to-one life skills training and support.

Surrey Urban Mission is a community center for people living in Surrey that helps people who are homeless, tenuously housed and or living in poverty, and offers Community meals, ESL programs, Legal Clinics, Children’s Day Camp, Teen Club, Medical & Dental services, Parenting classes, Food Security and Cooking classes and a Community Garden
